About the Image(s)

At the Penn State-UMBC (University of Maryland Baltimore County) basketball game on November 7, #5 Guard Puff Johnson attempts to steal the ball. It didn't work on this possession, but Penn State went on to win the game 103-54. We were hoping for a more competitive game, as UMBC had surprised the NCAA a few years back in the NCAA tournament.

What makes this photo for me is the action, the ambiguous placement of the ball that leaves you wondering who will get it, the expressions on the players' faces and the gestures.
