This photo was taken at a soccer game as you can see. The player in the Blue jersey was fouled as the defender White jersey never had contact with the ball and tripped the player. Yet in infinite wisdom, the reff never made the call and just said playon. It demonstrated that officials are not able to see everything or chose not to make the calls.
The expression on the player says it all
Shot with a Nikon Z6II, a 80-400mm lens using a monopod. Iso 160, at 80mm, f5.6. 1/800 second. Post - opened up shadows.

This is not the image that goes with the explanation but it is an image showing great action. I would crop the shot just a bit to focus more on the players. I also think one could work with levels in Lightroom to get more impact from the lighting of the players. Posted: 01/18/2026 16:20:08
