When my son was on the soccer team in high school, I enjoyed taking photographs at their games. When soccer defenders set up a wall for a free kick, it usually made spectators smile at their protective posture! This photo was taken at a night game, so the lighting was from the field floodlights. This is an old photograph, shot with my Nikon D100, Nikon 18-300 lens at 190 mm. Auto exposure, f/4.8, 1/180, ISO not noted.

Expressions and action good. Colors good. Focus a little fuzzy. Thanks for the explanation. 1/180 is a little slow for this sort of action, but my guess is you already know that. Posted: 02/11/2025 15:46:02
