April 2026 - Mascot Leading in the Pink Zone

Every year on least one Penn State women’s basketball game they have a special recognition night for women’s cancer survivors. This night in February was very well attended with lots of Pink. The PS mascot was leading the group in a cheer.

Hi John, I've seen a few of your images about this event (and also Carolyn's) and I think this is the strongest I have seen to date. I do like the addition of the mascot as this gives the viewer somewhere to focus, and then to browse along the woman and their wonderful milestones. The photo aptly reflects high spirits of survivors. Well captured. I agree with Jen Fawkes for addition of mascot as it adds to the overall impact of the image, as must have added to the enthusiasm of survivors. Posted: 04/18/2026 21:17:45
