September 2026 - Confronting the Umpire

I was going through some of my older images looking for a baseball player who is now in the major leagues and I came across this image which has a very compelling facial expression. This was before Burlington, IA had its minor league contract removed. Tne manager of the opposing team was being restrained by one if his coaches.

You have nicely captured a fleeting moment and aggressive facial expressions and his body language aptly reflect his anger. Perhaps he was talking about settling a grudge. Good that a player is watching all this as he is standing at a distance to right in picture. The person who is in light blue T-shirt appears to be a referee, despite his back towards camera, his body language matches with the prevailing situation. Well done. Posted: 09/08/2026 09:01:49
I think this is a great capture of an emotional scene, in which both the facial expressions and body interactions convey the story. I wish the image could have been straightened, as for me, the obvious tilt of the whole picture is a bit distracting. Posted: 09/09/2026 08:54:14
