October, 27, 2024, London Halloween Haunting Race.

My intent was to capture images of people crossing the finish line. In the adult races, the participants are spread out and other runners may not appear in the background. The Kids race is a short distance and children are bunched up together. The challenge is to capture emotion and to avoid a phantom leg (i.e. leg tucked under so just the upper limb appears).

Hi Judith, Great photo! I love the airborne feet. A story well told from head on at a lower angle to make the subject mother/daughter bigger in stature. The crowd adds to the story. Love it! Karl   Posted: 02/09/2025 11:11:43

Great shot! Everything about it works - most especially the expression on the mother's fact, but also the kids, both hers and the one behind her, the kid's feet off the ground.Despite all the people in the picture, the mother and child really stand out. That's a tough thing to accomplish in this kind of photo with the big crowd there. Good job!   Posted: 02/16/2025 16:14:53

This is such a wonderful shot! The bond between the two front runners and the expressions on the faces of the children behind them are very sweet, and the colors also make the image pop.   Posted: 02/18/2025 18:50:06

It's definitely a cute photo between mom and kiddo. Crossing the finish line with them is priceless. Well done.   Posted: 02/21/2025 09:35:21
