Hi Arunima, I like the hand connections of the 3 kids from back to front and the diagonal composition moving forward. We are seeing the scene from the back so only big sister's face shows (and middle kid's bottom). The image describes the story well, but it lacks impact since we can't see the boys' faces. Was it possible to capture the faces of the two boys from a different angle i.e. from the other side.

I notice a man mostly hidden behind the bicycle handle bars and another man partially hidden by the girl's body. If you waited, would these people be out of the way.

You are photographing into bright light and the children's bodies are in shadow. You could increase the visual impact of the image by selecting them and opening up the shadows and reducing the highlights in the sky.   Posted: 02/09/2025 20:33:59

Hi Arunima - I think I should comment earlier because I often find myself saying the same thing others have already said! It's tough when you get a capture like this that could be stronger if you were in a different position with the light and with not seeing the boys' faces. If you'd waited for everything you'd need for a more successful shot, you would have missed the shot! I like the edits that Judy made.   Posted: 02/16/2025 16:06:19

I also like the edits Judith made, but I find this view from the back perhaps equally as interesting as one that might be taken from the front. The expression on the girl's face is very determined, and the body language tells the story quite well. I think it would have been good if the focus was a little sharper.   Posted: 02/18/2025 18:47:48

The more I look at this photo, the more I think it's more about the woman than the boys. At least from the back. If it was from the front, I think there would be a shift in focus to the boys instead. Well done.   Posted: 02/21/2025 09:33:00
