We were visiting Charleston SC last August and wandered through the Charleston Marketplace downtown. We came across this QVC stand where Carla Hall was interacting with passersby. There was also a filming that was about to happen a bit further away for her to give a live program. Carla Hall is well known as a chef and for her promotions of kitchen essentials on QVC. I don't watch QVC or follow her, but I was interested in how enamored people were with her. She does seem like a very dynamic personality. There was a long line of people waiting to talk with her.

Hi Carolyn, We see animated people here. Carla seems to be the character. I love her glasses. Did you do any close-ups of her face. The center person is a bit bright. Perhaps cropping and some burning of bright areas would bring our eyes to Carla better without changing the message/feeling. I took a quick try at these two modifications. I looked up the u tube video of Carla at the fair since I did not know her background. Your frame captures her dynamic personality, the theme Age of Possibility and shows her wares. Her hands are expressive and her glasses reflect her personality.

Karl's suggested crop eliminates the purse that pulls the eye to the bottom of the image, and the brighter area on camera right which draw the eye. Burning the blue shirt helps keep the viewer's eye on Karla's white glasses.   Posted: 02/09/2025 20:20:02

This is a really good image! It's fun and interesting - all because of Carla's dynamioc personality that comes through. I do like Karl's edits - both burning the blue shirt and cropping out a bit of the wares, enabling us to focus on the people, especially Carla.   Posted: 02/16/2025 16:02:01

I love, love Carla Hall, and I love this photo. It does capture her expressive personality so well, and the interaction with the other ladies is great. I definitely would not crop anything off of the lady on the left, who is really an integral part of the story, to me.   Posted: 02/18/2025 18:44:53
