This track and field event featured many universities. I positioned myself in line with the path the athletes ran in the long jump event. I got as low to the ground as possible in a sitting position.
I handheld a Canon EOS R5 Mark 2 with a 100-400mm lens at 105mm, ISO 250, 1/2000 sec, f4.5.

Hi Frederick, I would not say this moment is the peak of action, but is effective in storytelling. The facial expression and clinched fist show determination. The flying hair and sand show great motion. The point of view brings us into the athlete's moment. The limited depth of field allows us insight into the event but does not distract from the athlete.
