It is a sweetener made from sugarcane juice or palm sap known as goor. It is used extensively in India. Posted: 02/09/2025 06:37:48

This is a great image that would fit into many differnt PJ themed categories (general, HI, work, culture). I really like that everything is focused and pointing to the fire. I do laugh at the lack of 'safety' (wearing sandals, no face protection). I agree with Leslie in that you do capture the essence of life in India. Well done. Posted: 02/13/2025 15:43:15

Another great image. Learned a lot from your explanation. I have to agree with Jen about the lack of using safety equipment and sandals on their feet dealing with the fire, hot and heavy liquid/syrup in the large cooking container seems a bit scary. Posted: 02/15/2025 15:06:16
