March 2026 - Farmers Market
About the Image(s)
This image was taken at our local Farmer's Market in SW Florida. I really like the assortment of colors of the various fruits and vegetables along with the lady in the background looking over items. The cashier was doing a brisk business og taking money and bagging up purchases.
I just adjusted a couple of sliders in Camera Raw and a slight crop on the right side removing a hand with a tomato that added nothing to the image.

Hi Tom, a great subject for this months image - there is always something about fresh fruit and veg from the market that is appealing. Your main subject is a good choice and it's nice to see her 'in action'. The woman behind her is a bit of a distraction, but its not too bad (a little separation between the two woman might be nice.) I note that your image feels a bit crooked, leaning to the left, and have straightened this and cropped the man on the left out. Other than that, your story is nice and the settings are good.   Posted: 03/07/2026 18:54:49

Hi Tom - I agree with Jen's observation about tilt in the original image, but like the image very much. The image might have been improved if the woman in the background was either standing further to the right (so she didn't overlap with the main subject) or was not in the image at all, but of course it's hard to control such things and we've got to grab our moments when we can. All the colors and the main subject at work make a great story!   Posted: 03/12/2026 10:41:50
