Hi Leslie, a great subject/s for HI, that shows childhood, friendship as well as some cultural support. Your settings look good but the high ISO is probably not necessary, and your older camera might not cope with high ISO (but there is always a denoise program!). Its a pity you were not face on, or that they were a little bit back so you could see more of the faces. The tourist in the background can either help (adds to the story) or hinderance (as a distraction). Its up to you to decide that one. For me I would prefer he not be there and the focus is just on those cute kids. Posted: 10/14/2026 04:03:35
Agreed...just a quick shot in a small Laotian town. would rather the tourist wasn't in the shot. That tourist was on our Gibbon Tour. I just liked the feeling of the friendship of the town boys. I probably had the ISO set on Auto. Posted: 10/14/2026 10:54:55
Hi Leslie. Agree with Jen re comments the background tourist is as strongly presented as the 3 boys. It shows companionship well though with the three boys arms around each other. Posted: 10/14/2026 04:36:44
