Although a robotics competition is not a high-action activity, it is very fun to watch the enthusiasm of these creative and innovative students as the operate the robots they designed and built. I chose this specific photo because all eyes are on the round of competition, and it includes the name of the Vex competition organization and a view of the competition ring in the live video in the background.
Shot with my Nikon D7200, Nikon 18-300 lens at 44 mm., f/6.3, 1/100, ISO 2000. Some processing to straighten the lines and eliminate some noise.

Ardeth, strong interaction of all the participants following the demonstration of the new creations actions. My guess is that the different colors in the tops with the logo, represents different teams. The image is sharp and well composed. Posted: 02/08/2025 14:55:32

I think this is a difficult subject to photograph since the subject of interest (robots) are slightly obstructed. Therefore, I agree including the sign which explains it is a competition, and focusing on the students faces and interaction was a good choice. Posted: 02/09/2025 21:44:17
