Nikon 76ii, 24-120 mm lens, f 6.3, ISO 200, 1/640 sec. aperture priority, with focal lengths varying from 120 mm to 85 mm to 34 mm as protesters approached.
Sunday, May 26, 2024, protestors marched along Richmond Street to Victoria Park London to free Sudan.
I heard the protestors in the distance and ran in front of them to capture a frontal view and then moved to the side. The leader appeared to be photographing the event, and I had to wait to capture an image of her looking at me. Which image do you feel is the strongest (tells the strongest story hum) and why?
The images were edited with LR, PS, and Topaz.

I liked the Original photo more, Judith, because of the posture of the leading lady. Her posture itself talks about anger, aggressiveness of the protest. Photo is sharp. Triangular formation of the group added the beauty to composition. V good image   Posted: 02/06/2025 22:54:01

Judith, all the images complement each other, but somehow I also prefer the main image since it shows more faces of the participants in the march. Here now is for Sudan. Also the presence of the photographer on the main image also adds interest. It is sharp and well composed.   Posted: 02/08/2025 14:59:25

I also prefer the main image; there is more interaction among the participants. There is a juxtaposition of the fully covered leader and other participants in Western modern dress sharing in the passion of their protest. I think it is a very good journalism image.   Posted: 02/18/2025 18:04:35
