I pulled this one from the archives. I like it because he was so obviously immersed in his music-making and was playing with such joy. You can see from my settings that I shot this with my Nikon D40, which gave me great satisfaction for a number of years, despite its shortcomings compared to today's cameras!
Nikon D40, lens focal length 175mm; shutter speed 1/200, aperture f/5.6, ISO 200. I converted the image to B&W because I think it eliminates the distractions of the street surroundings in the color version.

Actually, it wasn't available, although if I were to use it not as a competition image, it is the one place where I sometimes use Generative Expand to add a little more room on the edge! Posted: 03/09/2026 09:38:53
