Alexander, great view of the City of Porto-Portugal and a section of the Douro River. Lots of people at the river bank which gives dimension to the cityscape. If you check group 4 and the images from Tom Tauber for July and September 2022 you will see other views of Porto. Your image is sharp   Posted: 09/15/2022 05:55:06

I like the composition of this image with the higher hill on the right encouraging the eye entering from the left and settling on the details on the right. The large white building becomes a clear center of interest. The artist makes a choice on how much sky to show. I might crop some from the top to put that white building about 1/3 from the top, but if there is a rule, you are free to break it. I frankly like the aspect ratio of the image the way you have it.   Posted: 09/15/2022 09:04:53

Alexander, this is a lovely, sharp image. I personally would prefer a version in which some of the clouds are cropped out, to give a more panoramic feel to the image, but that is a matter of taste. Welcome to our group!   Posted: 09/20/2022 13:09:51

Excellent image. I like the composition and the colors. I think Nancy is correct. There is too much of the clouds in the image. It takes my attention away from the city. Cropping some of them out would solve that.   Posted: 09/22/2022 11:41:29

It is not often we see a cityscape of Porto with no bridges, but, as has been already said, your composition to have the highest building off centre works really well. And I do agree with the suggestion to trim some of the sky off.   Posted: 09/22/2022 15:28:32
