Cathedral in Cluj-Napoca, Romania by Nancy Axelrod

September 2022 - Cathedral in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

About the Image(s)

I have bad news and good news. The bad news is that I came down with (a fairly mild case of) Covid during my recent trip to Dubrovnik, Croatia and Romania. I have pretty much recovered. The good news is that while I was quarantining in a hotel in Cluj, I was able during the blue hour to take this photo of the Cathedral from the little balcony of my hotel. Not a bad place to have to quarantine!
Taken with an iPhone 11 Pro, wide lens, 26mm f/1.8, no post-processing.

Nancy, my wife and I were not so lucky as you. We got Covid while on a Caribbean Cruise, 2 weeks back to back from St Marteen. They disembarked us and send to a very crummy hotel in the old part of downtown for 5 days... We are seen more and more travel images created with the iPhone )the best camera is the one with you when you need it). Great colors and definition, as well as very sharp in spite of the slow shutter speed given by the blurred car. It is unfortunate that the light and pole are in the middle, but that was you vantage point available.   Posted: 09/15/2022 05:45:42

Nice to see that Covid didn't dull your photography skills. Well constructed composition. The lit up church tower against the blue sky is very pleasing.   Posted: 09/22/2022 11:29:16

Wow Nancy, that lit up dome and taking your photograph in the "blue hour" really adds impact to this fine PT image.   Posted: 09/22/2022 15:23:43
