Fort Duquesne Bridge by Lisa Cirincione, QPSA, AFIAP

May 2023 - Fort Duquesne Bridge

About the Image(s)

Downtown Pittsburgh, PA, on a walk around town, blue hour in summer. I tried to show the massiveness of the bridge, yet still show how pretty the sky and lights are. You can see Heinz Field in the background, where the local NFL team, the Pittsburgh Steelers play.

I like the blue tone with its bright lights on, and the air is clear and fresh. It can be seen that the lower structure of the bridge, pier and foundation are made of reinforced concrete or stone, and the upper support system is made of steel structure. This is a great bridge.   Posted: 05/13/2023 22:44:16

Thank you… I remember it was a great night for a walk. Pittsburgh is known as the City of Bridges, Venice is a sister-city because of that. Good blue hour that night.   Posted: 05/14/2023 13:17:36

well composed and nicely exposed. The time chosen to make such an image seems appropriate.   Posted: 05/16/2023 02:21:19

Thank you Subhash… that was a very blue, blue hour. I don't see too many of those perfect ones.   Posted: 05/24/2023 09:51:31
