On New Year's Day 2017, with light snow floating in the sky, I came to Hongguangshan Dafo Temple to pray and wish everything smooth in the new year. The temple is empty and deserted. I captured this empty moment.

This is indeed a mistake. Because it was snowy, the light was very bright. When I was shooting, I used aperture priority mode and didn't notice the large aperture at the time. Posted: 11/19/2023 05:45:09

Yes. I was thinking at the time that I wanted to capture both buildings and show breadth, so I brought in both buildings. But this does make the subject unclear. Posted: 11/19/2023 05:48:49
The purple/violet tint on both the right and left side does not seem natural to me. It appears as though an adjustment such as a linear gradient or vignette was made that caused this coloration. Or possibly a filter was used. I agree with Zhicai that a better image would be created by choosing only one of the buildings to have in your composition. Posted: 11/13/2023 13:32:11
I found the PSD file for this photo at the time and took a closer look. When I was processing, I increased the contrast and natural saturation without making any other adjustments. Therefore, this purple color is likely a halo left during filming. Posted: 11/19/2023 05:49:07
I felt the feeling of the empty moment, nicely done. Another composition with only one building or more detail, would have focused on the architecture, and not the feeling. Posted: 11/28/2023 09:06:28
