Ferris Wheel and PNC Park by Lisa Cirincione, PPSA, AFIAP

December 2024 - Ferris Wheel and PNC Park

About the Image(s)

Title: Ferris Wheel and PNC Park

A better photo and composition from last month’s version. Same night, different camera, different lens.
This is the workhorse DSLR Canon 5DM2, with a longer lens than my Leica all-in-one from last month.
Closer to the bridge, but not straight onto the Ferris Wheel.

Always tricky to get the flood lights not blowing out. I think the only option is merging two different exposures. Personally I can't get excited about the composition - it needs more of a singular point of focus for the audience.   Posted: 12/24/2024 09:21:32

Thanks Alistair, the flood lights would need some work. The bridges in Pittsburgh are plenty good for focus, but not much in this view to say it's definitively Pittsburgh. I'll keep at it for a good composition.   Posted: 12/29/2024 13:45:33

I am paying attention to whether the Ferris wheel is rotating and would like to know the shooting speed   Posted: 12/25/2024 02:14:37

I did do some longer exposure shooting to show the Ferris Wheel movement, but I didn't like the compositions as well...   Posted: 12/29/2024 13:52:11
