May 2021 - New York City at Las Vegas.
About the Image(s)
A couple of photo friends and I were driving to the Albuquerque PSA Conference from Sacramento, and passed through Las Vegas for a couple of days. It’s wonderful for photography, with iconic structures from different countries as well as various fountains, not to mention the elaborate casinos—and good food! I think this is a strong travel image of New York icons, but it hasn’t done well in competitions—possibly because international judges don’t recognize it and don’t understand what’s happening? Your thoughts welcome.
I don’t know the exact photo details, but I use a Canon 7D for my travels, and have a Tamron 16-300mm lens to just bring one main lens.

Perhaps you can try to make the image neater by cropping little from the right as the little red structure peeping in not contributing to the image. I also feel the street light is taking up a lot of attention.   Posted: 05/13/2021 10:59:33

As well as that small red bit - the other side also bothers me - I am so fussy about lettering on the edges of images that bleed out, I cropped a tiny bit from the left side to simply leave the word Vegas instead of as Vegas. Trivial I know - but when medals/ribbons are being decided upon???????   Posted: 05/25/2021 16:25:27
