Brief description: This photo was taken in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It captures a devotee worshipping the Avukana Buddha Statue — a magnificent stone-carved figure of the Lord Buddha standing over 14 meters (46 feet) tall. This ancient statue, renowned for its intricate detail and serene expression, is one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic representations of Buddhist art and devotion.
Any suggestions, mistakes I have made or improvement ideas are highly appreciated.
Equipment Used: Canon R6 mark II & RF 24-105mm F4 lens
Camera Settings: Aperture priority, f8, 1/250s, ISO 200
Where and When: 16/6/2024, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka.
Post-Processing:Using lightroom. Small crop and adjusted the highlights and shadows a bit

I think the composition is good. The Buddha statue creates a contrast of height and height with the human body, and devout believers have unwavering beliefs. Posted: 05/15/2025 07:13:32
