Lighting Conditions: Early morning around 6:30 AM local time, blue sky, light clouds, sun from the east on the face of the parliament building
Where and When: Budapest, August 25, 2023. Taken from the Pest side of the river. This image was taken on a 2-day Viking cruise extension at the beginning of the cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam.

Post-Processing: In Lightroom: enabled lens profile, remove chromatic aberration, straightened & cropped using LR Transform tool, adjusted blacks, whites, shadows, highlights; then adjusted clarity, dehaze, vibrance and saturation; No editing in photoshop on this image.

The lighting is perfect and it's a well-captured, interesting building. A more dramatic or textured sky or something floating by in the river would add more visual interest.   Posted: 01/06/2026 21:31:17

I agree with Karen. The building is spectacular and the lighting perfect. Since the sky isn't all that interesting I would crop a bit more out to focus more on the building. I see why you had to chop it off on the left...the red scaffolding would be a distraction.   Posted: 01/07/2026 10:59:54
