Title: Tower of Voices Memorial

About This Image: The memorial is in memory of the crash of United Airlines Flight 93 hijacked on 9/11/2001. The design featured a "Tower of Voices", containing 40 wind chimes – one for each passenger and crew member who died. A circular pathway lined with red maple trees that follows the natural bowl shape of the land. Forty groves of red and sugar maples and eastern white oak trees were to be planted. Equipment Used: Canon EOS R5Mk2, RF24-105 F4L IS lens at 24 mm
Camera Settings: Aperture Priority, ISO 100, 1/500sec, f/8.0, 0 EV, pattern metering
Lighting Conditions: Late morning 11:01 AM local time, Sun and clouds ambient light from the left side
Where and When: Flight 93 Memorial Park, Shanksville, Pennsylvania USA, June 11, 2026.

Post-Processing: In Lightroom: enabled lens profile, remove chromatic aberration, straightened & cropped using LR Transform tool, adjusted blacks -15, whites +52, shadows -50, highlights -38; then adjusted clarity -19, dehaze +10, vibrance -15 and saturation -+9; Using the color mixer tool adjusted the colors; Created a Sky Mask and updated contrast, highlights shadows and exposure, No edits in photoshop on this image.

NOTE: For image printing I almost always move the image to Photoshop where I may make adjustments for printing to ensure the image on paper appears the same as the image on my calibrated monitor.

As an aside, I have two monitors on two different computers. Although both are calibrated, the one I use for other than photography is not able to reach an acceptable calibration. Consequently, images viewed on that monitor appear different than on the one I use for photography editing. Usually they are darker.
