October 2026 - Tucson Church
About the Image(s)
From the 2024 PSA Photo Festival in Tucson. This small church building sat next to the San Xavier Del Bac Mission, which was offered as a tour. The fence was very ornate and beautiful. But locked. I took this with my Leica D-Lux 7, basically a point-and-shoot with RAW and manual controls

It is a beautiful shot, capturing the view through a window. Using the wrought-iron gate to frame the foreground creates a sense of layered depth, while the leading line-formed by the central walkway-draws the eye all the way to the church entrance. This is a classic technique in landscape and cultural photography, effectively highlighting the sacred, tranquil religious space set against the backdrop of the desert.   Posted: 10/13/2026 18:59:16
