A nice cityscape of Singapore. It has certainly changed since I was last there in 1997. I am going through there to Java next week. The image is sharp with good lower level side lighting. The green space in the foreground adds a nice color contrast to the metal, concrete and glass of the skyscrapers.

The yellow buildings just before the tall buildings looks like it could have been from colonial times.

The inclusion of the water on the left foreground and background helps identify it as an island city.   Posted: 07/09/2024 12:47:19

Rich, This is a nice city view. I have never been there, but have seen lots of photos. It is certainly a travel photo. The only nitpick is the building part in the lower right corner. It might be hard to remove it and cropping might hurt the overall image.   Posted: 07/16/2024 11:28:13

I brightened the image using levels, cropped off some sky as well - and also the right side to have the road in the lower left corner serve as a lead in, and Judy`s suggestion on the right hand bottom corner. This is a fine shot of Singapore Rich, you certainly chose a hotel with a view!!!   Posted: 07/16/2024 15:19:45

The "Colonial" buildings pointed out by Michael are the Philharmonic Hall complex - attached is my submission from a while back, taken at street level to show old and new Singapore.   Posted: 07/16/2024 15:24:26

Rich, you had a great view in Singapore which is a beautiful city. I like Judy's suggestion and crop that David did. You retain all the useful information in the image and as Michael pointed out, showing the water and sea in the distance shows it as an island city. Nice job.   Posted: 07/17/2024 16:54:30

This is a nice cityscape of Singapore, avoiding most of the ubiquitous cranes and showing off the water. The image is a little dark, which David has fixed. I also agree with Judy`s suggestion.   Posted: 07/22/2024 10:01:20

This is a good photo of Singapore based on other pictures I have seen of the city. I like David's suggestions. And yes, crop that right side. Good job!   Posted: 07/24/2024 22:47:33
