About the Image(s)

We went to Estes Park last Sunday and went into the park. It was a beautiful day. The image is cropped to eliminate the road. This image is from the highway into Estes looking and the mountains. 1/1000, f8, ISO400, 44mm, Fuji X-T20, 18-55mm.

This is a nice scenic shot, but it really doesn't show location enough to make it a travel image. Mountains and waterfalls are always a challenge since they don't usually show enough location.   Posted: 05/09/2021 19:20:26

Here is the road into Estes Park. Is that good or bad to add?   Posted: 05/24/2021 13:12:58

Nice view of the mountains. I'd crop even more so as to eliminate the buildings and sign at bottom right. Can't do much about the lamp post.   Posted: 05/23/2021 15:30:24

A good blue sky and snow capped mountains provide a fine backdrop, there appears to be a blue cast overall - but hey this is a winter photograph!
A bonus of our new system is we can view altered versions of the original - and I much prefer your attached image showing a pick up truck on a road that makes a good lead in to the composition.   Posted: 05/25/2021 15:50:21

This is a lovely mountain scene and when I studied it, I saw thirds, the ground, the mountains and the sky and it is fine. However, when I first saw it, I saw the mountains and the foreground as one and the sky as the other part with the division in the middle. I suggest cropping a bit of the foreground and a third of the sky. To my eye, this is a more pleasing composition. The second image you posted in the conversation tells more of a story.   Posted: 05/30/2021 23:40:35
