Shirley, your image makes me want to go to France again. I haven't been to that village, but saw some small villages on my Smithsonian trip to France many years ago. All my pictures are on slide film:-(. I like the way the buildings curve around the bridge taking us through the picture. It certainly is a travel image. Shirley, that is a very inviting and colorful travel image. Small towns like that in Europe fascinate me. What I am wanting to see, the way you have framed the picture, is what is at the left end of the bridge. This shows us a very appealing village in France. The mountain and the lovely clouds add to the appeal. The bridge is welcoming me to cross over to see the other side.

This is such an atmospheric scene, I could just imagine myself sitting under one of those maroon canopies enjoying a glass of wine with cheese and meats! Like Sukumar, I agree the colour of the buildings and in the clouds help link the picture content very well.   Posted: 02/25/2025 05:31:42
