May 2025 - Ronda, Spain
About the Image(s)
In 2015 I spent a month in Spain and Portugal with Overseas Adventure Travel. We were a group of sixteen with an excellent Spanish guide. I may well have submitted this image here nine or ten years ago. I am looking for photos to submit to my local photography club and there are a number I like from my October, 2015 journey.
Ronda is known for its cliffside location and deep canyon. It is one of the whitewashed villages and towns in Andalusia.

nice to see a panorama for a change. Great shot.   Posted: 05/16/2025 17:02:47
I would like details on your camera and processing. I do like the pano which works well for your picture. I am not sure there is enough to identify location--yes, I know we don't have to know exact location--but the details are not featured enough. It is a nice image in any case.   Posted: 05/19/2025 14:01:23
The image is so wide most of the buildings are too small. Great scope of coverage though.   Posted: 05/19/2025 17:46:35
While I really love the image, it has sort of an ephemeral feeling to it. It gives me a feeling of a lovely view with fog below but it doesn't give me any details to say is Ronda, or even Spain. Would love to see more. (This is one of the villages we wanted to drive to but my husband was pickpocketed in Madrid so we couldn't rent the car we had planned on renting after his wallet was stolen.) So glad you saw it though. Would love to see more images from that trip.   Posted: 05/20/2025 10:55:14
I don't know if you could have captured the canyon and more of the whitewashed buildings. I could only see one on the left. I'm not sure the structures on the right tell me much about the location. It is a nice pano image with the fog in the valley anyway.   Posted: 05/20/2025 13:44:02
Nice panorama. To me the image is all about the fog-shrouded valley. I feel that the bright terrace competes for attention. I'd even consider cropping the image just to the right of the building with the cupola.   Posted: 05/23/2025 22:59:38

Thanks, all! As with many of my entries, I realize this doesn't define the location, Ronda or Spain. I did another image with the right half of the photo.
Sukumar, I like your suggestion and the photo above.   Posted: 05/23/2025 23:45:24

The mist in the valley certainly exudes a sense of calm, and the panorama format works well. I agree with Sukumar`s crop suggestion as the spectacular sky still maintains it`s impact to your image.   Posted: 05/24/2025 06:34:03
