Sukumar, I love that you have photographed this dance, capturing not only the temple but also the mountains in the background. The detail and colors of the women't garments really add to the interest of the image. It appears that this dance is for women only. Were there any men present? Yes, of course, lots of men as spectators (you can see a few of them in the background, but most of them were either behind me or in the foreground and sides, carefully excluded by my composition), not to mention the priest and the men who carried the palanquin with the idols (not in this image). Sukumar, your composition of this image of the dancers with the Himalayan mountains in the background add so much to this photo. What altitude was this taken at? You motivated me to install an Altimeter app. It tells me my present altitude is 1916 meters. The temple is a few hundred feet higher. So, say, 6500-6800' above MSL. Posted: 06/20/2025 03:16:14
