About the Image(s)

The Sandwich Boardwalk is about 1300 feet in length and crosses Mill Creek and the marsh, leading to the Town Beach on Cape Cod Bay. It was originally constructed in 1875 and has been rebuilt several times, most recently within the past few years. The current boardwalk is attractive, sturdy and functional. It is considered “a really high-quality product” and unlike previous boardwalks it includes handrails. It is popular with locals and visitors, especially in the warmer months.
