September 2025 - Buddhist temple, PA
About the Image(s)
Lunar New Year in PA
I would like opinions on whether this could go as PT. We passed this temple on our way elsewhere and I wanted to go back. As I stood outside, I was invited inside. The people were very friendly, invited me to eat with them and had no problem with my taking pictures. The building had been a church and was converted to a Buddhist Temple. I used my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Settings were 13mm, SS 1/60, ISO 320 and aperture f1.8.

It certainly looks like a PT image but it was taken in Pennsylvania? It looks so similar to images taken in Buddhist countries. Isn't that nice that the people were so friendly? Very nicely composed and sharp. One suggestion, it seems that the gold table is ever so slightly tilted to the right. You're supposed to be able to take images anywhere and it certainly appears to be a good photo travel image to me.   Posted: 09/11/2025 11:51:33

To me this is a very unique place. A Budhist temple in a modern building with a pipe organ, you might find that in only one place on earth. I would say it is unique and be comforable that it is a PT image, but some judges might not agree. In exhibitions you need three judges to agree and you might not get that. I think this is an image that captures attention and makes us pause and think. I agree with Shirley, there is a slight tilt, I feel it in the organ pipes also. Slight but there.   Posted: 09/11/2025 14:11:09
