That is a beautiful place and I have seen many fine images taken there. It is well composed and it looks like the lighting was good as well.   Posted: 12/19/2025 11:24:45

Nice image. The trees do not look as sharp as they could be.   Posted: 12/21/2025 11:57:41

Every time I see an image of Longwood it brings back memories of my visit there back in 2018!! In my opinion it is the reflection that makes this submission work so well, it helps lead the eye into the heart of the photograph.   Posted: 12/21/2025 13:37:35

Good old Longwood Gardens--I remember when it was free to enter:-). I like seeing the reflection, but it doesn't look straight to me. I am not sure whether this would be travel as there are similar gardens all over.   Posted: 12/24/2025 14:16:40

Unfortunately, I've never been there, but this looks like a flooded greenhouse to me, with what looks like icicles hanging off the roof. Sorry it doesn't convey a sense of place to me.   Posted: 12/25/2025 12:35:52

It looks like a magical place, but conveying a sense of place is difficult. Maybe it's my eyes, but I am having difficulty with the sharpness of the photo. Also, the lighting is very difficult to attempt to photograph effectively with the overhead brightness hitting the water, particularly at the base of the primary tree. My eyes are drawn to the glare on the water at that point.   Posted: 12/27/2025 12:10:06

Thank you for all your comments and I agree with most of them. I'm having problems finding appropriate travel photos to enter. Many are on CDs and I need to buy a CD reader. I learn from comments on all the monthly images!
I enjoyed being with David and his wife at Longwood some years ago when David was a judge (and, speaker???) at the Delaware Photography Society.
