December 2025 - Canyon Red Rock
About the Image(s)
This was taken with a Nikon D200 and 11-18mm Tamron lens at =25mm. SS was 1/500, aperture f9 and ISO 320. We took a ride into Canyon de Chelly which was fabulous and provided an opportunity to see the canyon from the bottom. Does this show enough to be travel?

As to your question if this depicts travel well enough, I certainly think so. If people don't know specifically the rock it is, they can guess that it is from the Southwest US which is close enough Very sharp and colorful against a pretty sky.   Posted: 12/19/2025 11:15:51
Nice Red Rocks image.   Posted: 12/21/2025 11:55:19
There are very few locations - if any, in the world similar to the Colorado plateau. As soon as I saw this photograph I immediately thought "South west USA", the colour and sharp focus - as well as blue sky, red rocks, and green trees all add up to a very good submission.   Posted: 12/21/2025 13:43:11
Yes, I think it could well qualify for PT. The colors and texture are great. And this is a rather unusual landform in a land full of unusual landforms! I regret I didn't get an opportunity to visit Canyon de Chelly.   Posted: 12/25/2025 12:25:34
Judy, that is an outstanding image, with great color, contrast and detail. Certainly is a PT image in my book! I gotta go there, having seen your photo.   Posted: 12/27/2025 11:58:24
I like everything about this image: the colors and their contrast, the sky and of course, the subject. This is definitely a travel image and a winning one in my book! 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈   Posted: 12/28/2025 20:29:27
