On a recent visit to Tangier, Morocco I took this photo of the prayer hall of the Mohammed V Mosque. This mosque is noted for its traditional Moroccan-Andalusian architecture and the tallest minaret in Tangier. It was completed in 1983.

Great capture, Michael. The lines in the carpeting bring the eye to the kneeling worshiper. It is colorful with the red carpet, the bright blue robes on the worshippers and the lovely arches which frame the image. The lower portions of the walls seem to be very colorful as well. The only distraction is the back doorway which lets light in but in PT you can't eliminate it. Posted: 10/06/2026 18:45:17
