About the Image(s)

While this may not be nearly as well known as many landmarks in the country, after posting a picture on social media, a number of friends have been there or knew about this particular sculpture. This is the first place my daughter took us when we visited her years ago.

Esther, we live in Minnesota part of the year and lived in Minneapolis so I am very familiar with this landmark. It is a nice reflection of the spoon and nice composition with the red cherry being right on the third gridline. Could you try to get a little detail in the sky by using dehaze or something. I see there is a cloud in the lower right and that would add alot to the otherwise blue sky.   Posted: 06/12/2022 23:02:12

Interesting sculpture. I too have never heard of it. The composition is good with the cherry in the right spot.   Posted: 06/16/2022 12:21:52

Shirley and I have lived in Minneapolis and I can recall when this was installed with of course some controversy, but it is often used in material about the city and is probably pretty well known across much of the country, it is always hard to know when it is so familiar to you, I feel like I see it fairly often. You have captured it well.   Posted: 06/20/2022 16:32:00

Interesting sculpture, with the cityscape in the background. Could you just crop off the little sliver of building at the left edge?   Posted: 06/21/2022 10:38:51

Again I agree with Sukumar, that building and walker on the left edge could be cropped. That monument with the cherry really stands out in the city park.   Posted: 06/22/2022 16:38:34

At least you got the picture--I wanted to go there when we were in the city a few years ago, but it was raining and we just left town. I also wanted to photograph the blue hen in honor of Delaware! I agree about cropping on the left. I would have preferred a bit of space between the cherry stem and the adjacent building.
It is a nice way to show a city skyline.   Posted: 06/26/2022 11:38:15

Judy, here's your Blue Hen from the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. I hope you can open the file. If not, I'll send it another way.

THANKS all for your comments and suggestions. Esther   Posted: 06/27/2022 22:39:24
