We loved Haugesund, but did not make it up this valley to enjoy this vista. I wonder how long ago it was since that glacier made it all the way into the valley behind the town. Beautiful backdrop for a picturesque little town. I think I might like it better to see a little more of the water in front of the town.   Posted: 09/05/2022 23:36:21

After looking at the map the town was probably Bondhus that is just below Folgeronna NP. We could not get in Haugesund because of the wind. We passed another water fall on the way up the fjord that I may show next month. Of course I have too many waterfalls on this trip.   Posted: 09/06/2022 16:03:52

What a colorful image of the beautiful town of Haugesund. I agree that more water is needed or eliminate it entirely because otherwise it could be a strip of highway. I like the version with more water much better. Beautiful composition.   Posted: 09/06/2022 13:51:40

Shirley is correct - the composition, curving lines of the mountains with the glacier in the top centre is very good. I removed the fiord from the base of your image as it is bright and distracting.   Posted: 09/07/2022 04:51:24

Rich, I agree with David about the water. It is a nice landscape and looks find the way it is. We've been to Norway twice--winter and spring but don't think we saw this area. We were on a cruise both times so that may be the reason.   Posted: 09/10/2022 19:48:36

Beautiful scenic, showcasing the little town/village. I too find the wedge of water at the bottom distracting, and would crop it out. The other image with the boat is fine too - providing something of interest in the foreground, the town in the middle ground, and of course, the awesome mountains and glacier in the background.   Posted: 09/16/2022 03:13:52

This is a lovely image of this charming village. I would like to see it 1) without the water OR 2) with more water in the foreground. Otherwise, I like this as you took it. I think it looks a bit "cut off" without the water, so perhaps more water.   Posted: 09/18/2022 01:49:37
