Description: On a visit to Dubuque, Iowa, I visited the Fenelon Funicular Elevator which has been running for decades
to transport people from lower Dubuque to upper Dubuque. From the upper level you have a view of the city and in the distance
you can see the Mississippi river.
My goal was to show the city of Dubuque from the top of the elevator and have the elevator in the image.
The post-edit photo is the Main Image. Original 1 is the original image.

I like how you cropped the top to remove some of the bland sky and the bottom to bring the cars a bit closer. I wonder if you used the dehaze command it would make the photo pop a bit more. I find funiculars interesting...have ridden them in Pittsburgh, Budapest, and Paris. Guess I'll have to get to Dubuque!   Posted: 11/13/2023 14:56:07

You should also go to Lisbon, Innsbruck, Valparaiso and Porto!   Posted: 11/18/2023 13:07:29

I have been to Dubuque several times while I lived in Iowa. We had a Senior Class trip thru Dubuque on our way to Chicago and had scrambled eggs above the Mississippi at Pikes Peak. Pikes Peak is at the junction of three or four states and the view is quite spectacular. All the time in Dubuque, but never remember this funicular. You achieved your objective. I might have waited until the vehicle was more into view.   Posted: 11/15/2023 14:15:35

I went to college in Dubuque and I was surprised to see that it is still there and being used!   Posted: 11/26/2023 11:58:33

Good diagonal line across the image. Cab could be a bit closer to have more impact.   Posted: 11/18/2023 13:09:21
