About the Image(s)

One of the most amazing architectural wonders I have ever visited, this view is just a small portion of the Sagrada Familia basilica. One could spend hours just taking in the light from the many stained glass windows. What I like about this view is the sense of being in a forest, with the pillars representing trees. Antoni Gaudi worked on the project from 1883 until his death in 1926. The history of the basilica can be found here: https://sagradafamilia.org/en/history-of-the-temple Construction continues, with a scheduled completion date of 2026.

Camera: Sony A6500 mirrorless
Lens: EPZ 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS
Focal length: 33 mm in 35 mm equivalent
Exposure: 1/160 sec; f/7.1; ISO 6400
Taken during a trip to Spain in April 2018.

Excellent photo. You managed the worst important part, not to overexpose the stained glass window, very well.   Posted: 07/11/2024 14:04:34

I've been there and took an interior image. Tom's right, you did not overexpose the window. Beautiful color. And good exposure on the whole interior. I am amazed that you were able to capture so much of that lofty view! You are right about the light coming through the beautiful windows.   Posted: 07/11/2024 14:27:53

You should go. Plan to spend hours there. I could spend a week exploring there. It's amazing.   Posted: 07/12/2024 07:37:08

What you have shown here is very nice. I am having a hard time seeing the forest through "through the trees". I would like to see a series of perhaps tow or three (triptych) images that would take me from ground floor to the top or this beautiful church and then I think I could appreciate it better. Excellent and exposure, I just would like to see the whole picture.   Posted: 07/21/2024 19:52:06
