About the Image(s)

Why I took this image:

This summer Carolyn and I drove to Charleston, SC and then to Myrtle
Beach, SC. While we were in Charleston we took a boat cruise in the
Charleston harbor. On the way back to Charleston I saw this view of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and in particular liked the lines of the bridge and its support structure..

For me contrast is tad too high.I would crop the photo little more tight to create a sense of tension between the lines of the bridge and the edge of the photo.   Posted: 11/12/2024 18:40:16

This is a great b&w subject. The balance between the bridge stanchion and the white cloud really makes it. I would straighten the verticals and crop from the right, from the top and a little from the left, as shown. Great image. Would make an excellent print.   Posted: 11/18/2024 14:30:52

What a great perspective - and I too love the clouds below it. I think I'd try cropping as much as possible at the top without cutting off the bridge.   Posted: 11/23/2024 12:31:45
