I was just trying to capture some of the fun these people were obviously having, but still needed to have buildings of Waikiki to show in the background.

A fun image - where were you standing to be able to get the boat and buildings? I love the image but only wish you had waited until the catamaran was out just a little further.   Posted: 05/09/2021 10:39:15

Fun and the sunlight adds to the general optimism of the image . Great Shot.   Posted: 05/12/2021 09:24:47

The colors of the boat on the sea are so captivating! It would have been great to see the sail unfurled! And you could have waited until the back of the boat cleared the buildings in the background. But good job getting good exposure and focus on a swiftly moving boat.   Posted: 05/14/2021 14:03:05

I agree with Phyllis about the sail. It's better if it's unfurled and will probably add dimension to your photo. Nice capture of a fun excursion for the people on board. I wish the sky had some more interest, but heck, when in Waikiki that's a pretty nice sky to have.   Posted: 05/21/2021 10:50:30

The sail is not furled because there is no wind that close to shore and the Catamaran must use its motor get out to where the wind can be effective. What I am looking for is its suitability as a PT image. It obviously is low and I am still looking for what I could do to make it better.   Posted: 05/21/2021 11:50:03
