Good capture of the Christmas trees in front of an ornate building in Mexico City. I like how you have the towers visible between the Christmas trees and the Mexican Flag flying above; that gives it the sense of place. Well done!   Posted: 03/09/2025 12:57:14

Pinaki, it looks like you blurred the foreground and even the tents behind the Christmas trees. Not permitted in photo travel, and also doesn't look natural   Posted: 03/18/2025 15:41:20

One of my painters friends told me ' why do you photographers slow down you shutter speed to take the photos of water. It doesn't look natural ?' He has a point. We ( I am guilty of that too) almost always tend to to that ,as if our understanding of asthetics is wrapped around it..what do you say ..   Posted: 03/19/2025 05:59:36

I like the scene, and the grouping of three Christmas trees. I would like to see the photo without the intentional blurring because in photo travel, we try to depict the world as it appears naturally. Basically the only edits allowed are those to correct for the faults of the camera (dust spots, highlights and shadows, cropping).

I get that blurring creates an artistic aesthetic, but there is another place in PSA where such creativity can be entered: PID Color. If you don't compete in PSA competitions then what you do is up to you. But for those who do, an image with this kind of blurring would get a low score in Photo Travel.   Posted: 03/23/2025 17:31:49

It is nice to see a celebration as a Photo Travel image, it is not very prevalent. The blurred people takes away the celebratory aspect. The light poles in the image are not straight, probably because of the wide angle lens. You are allowed to fix this perspective in the reality divisions including Photo Travel.   Posted: 03/23/2025 20:33:46
