About the Image(s)

Why I took this image:

On our last day of visiting Canyon Parks in Utah, Carolyn and I visited Zion National Park. We liked a couple of the other parks more because at Zion we were limited to riding the shuttle buses around to different viewpoints instead of exploring on our own.

I have included an original photo I took with my cell phone because I want to show that my original was somewhat cluttered. For my study group photo I moved around with different POVs to get what I think is a better image.

Camera Settings:

Creation Date: 03/18/2025
Camera: Canon, Camera Model: Canon EOS R6,
Shutter Speed: 1/320,
Aperture: f/18,
ISO 400,
Canon 24 – 105mm F4.0 lens @24 mm.

Post processing:
I did a lot of looking around to find a POV with the least distractions. After that I did little to this image except for the normal color adjustments in LR. I then used Topaz Photo AI for sharpening and noise reduction.

I have been to Zion NP and I know that dilemma. The tourist buses are great for seeing the park but not so much for the photos. It's an impressive mountain peak and you captured it. The sky is a beautiful blue. I think I would have made a slight color adjustment to tweak up the greens. Nice photo.   Posted: 04/17/2025 15:32:45

That location required a lot of moving around to avoid miscellaneous branches sticking out as your cell phone photo shows. You found a good spot. You could maybe play with vibrance a bit.   Posted: 04/20/2025 19:56:23
