June 2025 - Temple At Abu Simbel

About the Image(s)

Camera: Nikon Z-7
Lens: Nikkor 24-200mm
Settings: 1/400 sec at F/10, ISO 200

Editing in Lightroom: I cropped the image and I also reduced the exposure slightly and
increased the contrast.

The Temple at Abu Simbel was originally located in Lower Nubia in Southern Egypt and Northern Sudan. It was moved block by block to make way for the Aswan Dam. There were 22 historical sites that were moved to control flooding in the region.
The Temple is significant because it was built during the reign of Pharoah Ramesses II, approximately 1279-1213 BCE.
