Many years ago, I visited Northern Vietnam on my own and searched Google for images of Halong Bay beforehand. In addition to the well-known pictures of the carst islands, the tourist junks with red sails, etc. I found images that looked like this one. When I got there, I showed them to a local who told me that they were taken at the fish market in Halong city. I found a motor cycle rider who took me there before sunrise. The scene of hundreds of boats bringing in their fresh catches as the sun was rising, was unforgettable.
