August 2025 - Guggenheim Museum Bilbao Spain
About the Image(s)
In April 2018 I was on a tour of Spain and we stopped in Bilbao. Our hotel was across the street from the Guggenheim Museum, designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. This view, taken from the hotel, provides just a portion of the design. There is so much to see and so many angles from which to take photos.
According to Wikipedia, “The curves on the exterior of the building were intended to appear random; the architect said that ‘the randomness of the curves are designed to catch the light’.” That makes catching a photo a bit challenging because the light reflections can be harsh on some of those curves.
Visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guggenheim_Museum_Bilbao for more info about the museum and some of its controversies.
Personally, I loved every moment I spent there.
