The lighting in the museum was perfect.
We were granted access to the new Grand Egyptian Museum in April 2025 even though
it did not officially open until September 2025. The setting is spectacular. There are vast rooms
with antiquities everywhere.

I have been to old Egyptian museum and heard about the new one. I guess you are lucky to see the new one.
If I remember correctly , I think I will have seen this sculpture also , I will have to check my old photos. Egyptian museums is a fascinating place , not just to anthropologists but to ordinary souls like us, who try to appreciate beauty. These works by the standards of world civilization are incredibly beautiful. To think about the fact that they have been mode so many thousands of years ago is simply stunning.

The oldest Language in Europe is Greek...
The time gap between Early Egyptian Origin and Greek Alphabet is approximately 2300 years (even if we take the Mycenean Greek it is around 1900 years).
The time gap between Greek Alphabet discovery and Modern society is about the same i.e 2500 years...
i.e the distance is roughly the same on both sides...
