About the Image(s)

Why I took this image:

As part of our trip to Rhode Island Carolyn and I spent three days visiting with her sister in the southern part of Maine. While walking around the village of Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, Maine I have always been attracted to this small shack. I know it is quite tightly cropped due to many other close distracting elements.

Camera Settings:

Creation Date: 06/29/2025
Camera Model: Canon EOS R5 Mk II,
Shutter Speed: 1/60,
Aperture: f/8,
ISO 100,
Canon 24 – 105mm F4.0 lens @47 mm.

Post processing:
I did little to this image except for the normal color and lightening adjustments in LR. I also had to use the perspective tool to straighten some of the building. I then used Topaz Photo AI for sharpening and noise reduction.

Beautiful. A slight shift in angle-perhaps shooting from a lower perspective-could have added more dimensionality to the staircase and emphasized the layering of objects on the wall. I personally prefer more saturation , so maybe a touch of saturation boost. It is a very nice image as documentary-style capture with a slight artistic flair. Great Work.   Posted: 10/13/2025 09:55:43
