About the Image(s)
In the November round, I submitted a wide angle image of this location. Some members thought the foreground was either unnecessary or distracting, Here is another view of this desert city.
Sony A7III, Sony FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS @ 85mm, 1/80sec., f/8, ISO 100, Topaz Clarity enhancement in post processing to bring out the snow covered mountain in the background.

I actually like this composition. The buildings in the foreground are so interesting, I almost didn't notice the mountain peak in the background. You've got 3 layers of interest: City, hills behind and snow-covered mountain peaks. The time of day is perfect because you caught the light of the sun on the side of the buildings. Awesome photo!   Posted: 12/11/2025 14:36:53
The snow-capped mountains are striking but the sky is clear and lacks dynamic cloud formations or color gradients that add drama. Palm trees in the foreground are present but not used compositionally to anchor or frame the scene. Foreground is not interesting, maybe something there would have elevated the layering and add some dynamism.   Posted: 12/14/2025 17:23:18
Sounds like AI to me. What is your opinion?   Posted: 12/14/2025 17:25:48
That's my opinion. Not AI.   Posted: 12/14/2025 17:33:58
Thank you for posting this image. It is so much better than the last one, where everyone was concerned about the foreground. The lighting on the buildings is perfect and there are two layers of mountains which add interest to the composition. Very well done, and happy holidays!   Posted: 12/21/2025 19:16:06
Beautiful image of an old desert city, with good lighting and a background of Snowcap Mountain, creating a striking contrast.   Posted: 12/22/2025 18:42:23
This Is a beautiful picture with an excellent composition and the lighting is spectacular. The only thing I might do is tone down the highlights of the buildings very very slightly.   Posted: 12/22/2025 19:05:42
