Meyab: Balinese Hindu Religious Ceremonies and Rituals.
The Meyab tradition is a unique sacred ritual in Tiyingtali Village, Karangasem, Bali, held every three years during the Kedasa Full Moon. Hundreds of residents carry jempana (pralingga) around the village and enter Telaga Beteng to pray for fertility, purification, and warding off evil. This ritual is part of the Aci Usaba ritual at Puncak Sari Temple.

Very interesting. A real depiction of a traditional local festival in the paradise for photographers, Bali. I like the composition - three tiers of people and their clothes contrasting with the green vegetation. Should get accepted in a PTDD or PTDW exhibition.   Posted: 04/20/2026 18:26:34
